The Fantastic Four are a team of young superheroes empowered by a teleportation accident. They work out of the Baxter Building, a government think-tank organized by the U.S. Army and having connections to SHIELD. The team consists of:
- Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards) -- a prodigy-level but impulsive genius with an elastic body
- Invisible Woman (Susan Storm) -- a biologist who can turn invisible and project force-fields
- The Human Torch (Johnny Storm) -- a hormonal teen with the power to generate fire and fly
- The Thing (Ben Grimm) -- Reed's best friend, a football player transformed into a super-strong rock creature
In the course of their adventures, the Fantastic Four have been to other universes, other planets, and other times, have altered the course of history, rediscovered Atlantis, faced numerous alien menaces, and rewritten reality.
